Cameroon: CITS and E-Gov’A Join Forces to Accelerate Africa’s Digital Transformation

Yaoundé, 03 August 2026. The organisers of the Cameroon International Tech Summit (CITS) and E-Gov’A, the E-Gov Africa Summit, Expo and Awards, have announced a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening the reach, coherence and impact of their two initiatives.

Initially scheduled for 14 to 16 October 2026, E-Gov’A will now be held within the framework of CITS 2026, taking place from 15 to 17 October 2026 at the Yaoundé Conference Centre. The overall E-Gov’A programme will therefore run from 14 to 17 October 2026, beginning with a day of field visits on 14 October, followed by three days within CITS, from 15 to 17 October, combining the E-Gov’A exhibition, conferences, demonstrations and professional networking.

CITS will fully retain its identity, positioning and original programme. All activities planned as part of the summit will be maintained and will run alongside the dedicated E-Gov’A programme.

E-Gov’A will likewise retain its identity and positioning, with a specific focus on the digital transformation of African public administrations and public services.

Held at the same venue and over the same period, CITS and E-Gov’A have decided to combine their strengths, networks and expertise to deliver a more ambitious technology event.

This alliance will create a stronger platform, bringing together public institutions, governments, regional and local authorities, technology companies, telecommunications operators, banks, fintech companies, startups, development partners, experts and decision-makers committed to building a digital, sovereign and inclusive Africa.

14 October: An Immersion Day at the Heart of Digital Transformation

The day of 14 October 2026 will be dedicated to professional visits to Cameroonian companies providing digital solutions, as well as public administrations engaged in digitising their procedures and services.

These visits will enable participants, foreign delegations, public officials, partners and experts to gain first-hand insight into the platforms, infrastructure, methods and digital solutions already deployed in Cameroon.

This immersion day will serve as the opening stage of the E-Gov’A programme. It will allow participants to move beyond theoretical discussions and observe concrete achievements, encourage the sharing of experiences, and showcase the administrations and companies already transforming public services through digital technology.

Three Exhibition Days, from 15 to 17 October

The E-Gov’A Expo, initially scheduled for 15 and 16 October, will now run for three days, from 15 to 17 October 2026, at the Yaoundé Conference Centre as part of CITS.

A dedicated E-Gov’A exhibition area will bring together public administrations, institutions, regional and local authorities, companies and solution providers contributing to the modernisation of public services.

Exhibitors will showcase digital platforms, paperless public services and solutions related to artificial intelligence, digital identity, electronic payments, cybersecurity, data sovereignty, cloud computing, connectivity and electronic document management.

Expanding from two to three exhibition days will give exhibitors greater visibility and create more opportunities for demonstrations, business meetings, partnerships and engagement with public decision-makers, investors and users.

The Tripartite Hall for Conferences and Demonstrations

E-Gov’A conferences, panels and demonstrations will take place in the 400-seat Tripartite Hall at the Yaoundé Conference Centre.

The venue will host discussions among government officials, business leaders, experts, academics, investors, startups and international partners, along with live solution demonstrations, around the E-Gov’A 2026 theme:

“E-Governance and Artificial Intelligence: Building Efficient Public Services in a Cashless and Paperless Africa.”

The conferences will examine the key challenges of digital government, while the demonstration sessions will give public administrations and companies the opportunity to present their innovations and solutions in practical terms.

Discussions will focus on the digitisation of administrative procedures, digital identity, artificial intelligence applied to public services, electronic payments, cybersecurity, data protection, platform interoperability, sovereign cloud infrastructure, connectivity and digital inclusion.

E-Gov’A Workshops and Hackathon Maintained

The E-Gov’A workshops will be maintained, along with the E-Gov’A Hackathon. The hackathon will bring together universities and professional training institutions to address a practical challenge submitted by a public administration and to develop innovative digital solutions in response.

The E-Gov’A Awards Grand Night

The programme will culminate in the E-Gov’A Awards Grand Night, a prestigious ceremony recognising excellence and innovation in the digital transformation of public services and businesses across Africa.

The E-Gov’A Awards will honour institutions, public administrations, regional and local authorities, companies, startups, projects and individuals from Cameroon and across Africa whose outstanding contributions are helping to modernise government, advance digital innovation and bring public services closer to citizens.

The Awards Grand Night will be held at a special venue, with the date and location to be announced by the Organising Committee. Unlike the E-Gov’A conferences and demonstrations, which are free to attend upon registration, access to the ceremony will be paid and reserved for invited and duly registered guests.

CITS and E-Gov’A will each retain their own programme, identity and objectives. Their partnership will give participants access to two complementary platforms, at the same venue and during the same period, addressing the major challenges of technological innovation and the digital transformation of public services.

This partnership rests on a shared conviction: Africa’s digital transformation requires stronger synergies among public authorities, the private sector, innovators, investors, universities, civil society and development partners.
