Announcement made by COMPUTEX and Santa Clara this 30 May 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Extending Altran\u2019s successful relationship with Marvell, the Altran ISS now includes support for the&nbsp;Marvell Prestera CX 8500&nbsp;switch portfolio, scaling up to 12.8 terabits per second. The combination of the Marvell Prestera CX 8500 and the Altran ISS delivers a feature-rich, production-grade switch platform across networking verticals. Specific to the data center segment, the Marvell Prestera CX 8500 family offers unprecedented flow visibility and analytics with its Storage Aware Flow Engine (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"SAFE (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"\/?p=20605\" target=\"_blank\">SAFE<\/a>) technology. It enables a reduction in network layers by leveraging Marvell\u2019s high-radix switch core technology known as Forwarding Architecture using Slices of Terabit Ethernet Routers (<a href=\"\/?p=7633\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"FASTER (opens in a new tab)\">FASTER<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SAFE facilitates virtual\nstorage orchestration on the Marvell Prestera CX 8500 family by providing\ngreater insight into network flows with per flow visibility, advanced telemetry\nand comprehensive diagnostics that identify and resolve network congestion. The\ngNMI-enabled advanced network monitoring features of the ISS are designed to optimize\nthe Prestera CX 8500\u2019s dedicated hardware engines, which have programmability\nto address the latest telemetry packet formats and monitoring data exporting\nmethods such as INT, iOAM and TAM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Altran, the global leader in engineering and R&amp;D services, developed ISS as a highly portable and modular software architecture that supports a wide range of application-specific integrated circuits (<a href=\"\/?p=25155\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"ASICs (opens in a new tab)\">ASICs<\/a>) and network processing units (NPUs) and interfaces for the development of intelligent Ethernet switching and routing applications.
